A sample story from Nacho’s journal.
My human has brought home a new hard toy. It has a very serious name and packaging that suggests I should be impressed.
I have inspected it. Where is the stuffing? Where is the drama? How am I supposed to turn this into a living-room situation?
I have a creative process.
I like a toy with personality. A toy that inspires an unboxing. A toy that makes my human say, “Nacho, what happened?” while I stand in the evidence.
Sometimes I just want my ball. My ball understands me. My ball has never tried to explain its advanced design.
Which brings me to squirrels.
Squirrels are doing entirely too much. Running up trees. Flicking their tails. Making eye contact from a branch they know I cannot reach.
I have requested a formal meeting. They have responded by doing more squirrel stuff.
The official Nacho position.
I would like my favorite toys, a clear view of the yard, and a written apology from every squirrel involved. That is all.
